Revive
Synopsis
An essay on grief — harrowing and beautiful in equal measure — about a mother learning to let go of her daughter, and finding the strength to move love from her head to her heart.
Revive is a film about the thing no parent is ever supposed to survive. It does not flinch from the weight of that loss — the particular, consuming grief of a mother for her daughter — but it refuses to stay there. What emerges, slowly and painfully, is something closer to grace: the discovery that memory does not have to be a wound, that love can outlast devastation, and that letting go is not the same as forgetting. Harrowing and beautiful in equal measure, Revive asks how we carry the people we have lost — and where, in the end, we choose to keep them.
